Public Goods Group Website Policies
Privacy, Terms, Cookies, and Accessibility
Last updated: June 10, 2026
Legal pages are rarely anyone’s favorite read, so we have kept this one as plain as we can. This page covers how publicgoodsgroup.com (the “Site”) handles your information, the ground rules for using the Site, how we use cookies, and our commitment to accessibility. By using the Site, you are agreeing to everything here. If something does not sit right with you, the simplest fix is to stop using the Site, but we would also genuinely like to hear from you at hello@publicgoodsgroup.com.
Privacy: What We Collect and Why
What you give us: If you fill out a form, sign up for our newsletter, register for an event, or reach out about working together, we may collect your name, email address, phone number, organization, job title, and whatever you write in your message.
What we collect automatically: Like most websites, ours collects some technical information in the background: your IP address, browser type, device identifiers, the pages you visit and how long you stay, where you came from, and cookies (more on those in Section 3).
How we use it: We use this information to run and improve the Site, answer your questions, send you newsletters or event updates if you have asked for them, keep the Site secure, and meet our legal obligations. That is the whole list.
What we do not do: We do not sell your personal information. We never will. We don’t share that information with anyone, including clients or partners, unless you explicitly say, “Sure, go ahead.” We do not share it with advertisers or data brokers. Ever.
Who we do share with: We share information with a small circle: the service providers who keep the Site running (hosting, analytics, email) and you have given permission, and government or legal authorities when the law requires it.
How long we keep it: Only as long as we need it for business or legal reasons. After that, we delete it or strip it of anything that identifies you.
The reality: We’ll probably never review any of that stuff. We’re not that interested. Anything we do look like at are rolled-up numbers that help us understand how to make the site better, your direct inquiries via the form, or your signup to our newsletter. Other than that, your site secrets are safe with us because we wouldn’t know what to do with them anyway.
Your choices: You can opt out of our emails anytime, ask us to show you, correct, or delete the information we have about you, and turn off cookies in your browser. Just write to hello@publicgoodsgroup.com, and we will take it from there.
Security: We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information, but no website can promise perfect security, and we will not pretend otherwise.
Kids: The Site is not built for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information. Honestly, we’d be shocked if a kid were interested in our information, so we don’t anticipate this as an issue, but if it were, know we’ll do our best to resolve it immediately.
What we ask you to never do: Please never, ever send protected patient information to us in any form. Any data we need, we’ll solicit in a way that’s safe, de-identified, and free
Terms of Use: The Ground Rules
Using the Site means agreeing to these terms. They are mostly common sense.
What you can do: use the Site for any lawful purpose.
What you cannot do: break the law, interfere with the Site’s security or how it works, run scrapers or bots without our permission, copy or distribute our content without authorization, or submit anything false, harmful, or infringing.
Our content: The writing, data work, and design on this Site belong to Public Goods Group or our licensors. If you want to use something, ask us first, unless the Site says otherwise in that spot.
Your submissions: Anything you send us through the Site must be yours and cannot violate anyone else’s rights. By submitting it, you give us permission to use it to respond to you or improve our services. We may decline or remove submissions at our discretion.
Links to other sites: We sometimes link to other websites. We are not responsible for what they publish or how they handle your data, so check their policies too.
The formal part: We provide the Site “as is,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Public Goods Group is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, lost data, or lost business opportunities arising from your use of the Site or its unavailability. If you are unhappy with the Site, your sole remedy is to stop using it. You also agree to indemnify and hold harmless Public Goods Group against claims arising from your use of the Site or violation of these terms.
Governing law: These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, and disputes will be resolved in the courts of Effingham County, Georgia. We are a south Georgia firm, after all.
Cookies: The Short Version
Cookies are small files that help websites work and help us understand how people use ours. We use three kinds:
Essential cookies keep the basics running, like security, forms, and navigation.
Analytics cookies (such as Google Analytics and server logs) tell us which pages people visit and how the Site performs.
Functional cookies remember your preferences, including accessibility settings.
We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. None.
You can turn cookies off in your browser settings, though some parts of the Site may not work as well. Many browsers also offer “Do Not Track” signals, tracking protection, and private browsing. We respect browser-level cookie blocking to the extent technically feasible.
Accessibility: Everyone Is Welcome Here
We want everyone to be able to use this Site, including people with disabilities. We aim to meet WCAG 2.1 AA guidelines and follow accessible design best practices. In practice, that means clear navigation, alt text on images, keyboard-friendly interfaces, readable contrast, and accessible forms.
We review the Site regularly, and we know there is always room to improve. If you hit a barrier, please tell us, and we will do what we can to help:
